What can I expect from DP on handover of a new property?
One fog and one deep clean will be provided to any new property. There is also the offer of property maintenance for snagging (inc: painting, grouting, electrics etc) up to one year after property handover has been taken place. Call Dubai Properties Customer Care Centre on 80037823 to find out more or to book your appointment.
How can I adjust the water temperature of my property?
This is controlled from the roof of your property. Call Dubai Properties Customer Care Centre on 80037823 to book someone to help you with this.
What should I do if my air conditioning has tripped?
Check the fuse box (either upstairs or down) to see if any switches have tripped. If they have, switch them on and wait for 5 minutes (the AC unit takes a little longer to kick back in). If this doesn't work, call Dubai Properties Customer Care Centre on 80037823 to have it checked out. If your AC is tripping as it has not been cleaned in a while, we can highly recommened Pro AC Clean. Check them out on the following link.

When is my trash collected?
Trash is collected by DP every other day. Weekly for cardboard collection.

Who should I use for my internet connection?
Villanova seems to be an area where all of the main internet providers work well. If you're only using it for streaming video and some work related items, we've found that Virgin's package has been the most affordable for us.
What can I do about mosquitos/ bugs?
The area is fogged 3-4 times a month by DP. For stopping the likes of ants from coming near the inside of your property, we've found this items work best. Just drop some next to the doorway of your property. You can find it here.
My smoke alarm is beeping. What do I do?
First, change the batteries. If it persists call Dubai Properties Customer Care Centre on 80037823 to book someone to come out and reset them.
Is there a company I that I can have filtered tap water fitted with?
We highly recommend using this company for an excellent service in installing a filter for tap water in your home. Find out more here.
I have booked someone to come and do some work on my property. Do I need a permit?
You will need to complete this work permit application and email it to villanova.access@dubaicm.ae in order to inform security to let the company through the Villanova gates.
I need gas for my BBQ. Where can I get it from?
Just call 0526546222 and they will be able to deliver it to you.
FAQs and tips about living in the community
Check your service fees
Are your service fees calculated for The Villa or Villanova? It's worth checking with DEWA to make sure which area you're registered in as Villanova is slightly cheaper.
Is there any public transport to and from Villanova?
At this current time, there is no public transport in Villanova. The closest public transport into Business Bay/ Downtown/ Dubai Mall would be at Skycourt Towers in Dubailand. A taxi to here costs roughly 16 AED. We have also heard there are buses to other parts of Dubai which leave from Sustainable City (near Arabian Ranches 2) - although we have not tried this ourselves. A taxi to here would roughly cost 40 AED.
What time does the pool open?
The swimming pools open between 8am-8pm. If you are looking for private or group swimming lessons for any age, click the following link to express an interest in lessons
What facilities are available in the area?
Villanova has many beautiful facilities available: a small dogpark, a small waterpark (both in La Rosa 1), 2 x basketball courts, tennis courts, many parks, many pools (including baby pools). For more information on classes and lessons available in the area, check out this link.
How do I get in and out of Villanova with my security card? What happens if I lose my security card?
We'll admit it! We spent a good month waving our little white security out the window of our care before we realised it was magnetic! Basically, put the card on your dashboard above your steering wheel and drive quite close to the barrier and you should seamlessly and smoothly be able to drive through the residents entrance. If you have lost your security card, stop to chat to the lovely security guys at the gate and they'll help you out with a replacement.
Is the road onto the D54 opening anytime soon?
The last we heard, the road to connect Villanova with the D54 will be opened in Q3 of 2024. In the meantime, we have heard of some people trying to take the sandy 'road' down to connect, but we wouldn't recommend it as we heard even larger cars were struggling with it
Are there ways for Nannys to meet up and connect?
